Is the White Council in The Hobbit?
The council does not appear in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, though they are still active. Galadriel instructs Gandalf (and presumably Radagast) to investigate the tombs of the Nazgûl.

Why was Galadriel not at the Council of Elrond?
