Location. Drangleic Castle, before the acquisition of the Giant’s Kinship, Nashandra can be found in the throne room right before the Dragonrider duo boss. Throne of Want, after defeating the Throne Watcher and Defender, and having the Giant’s Kinship in the player’s possession.
How do I get to King vendrick?
Vendrick appears as an NPC if you have the Crown of the Sunken King DLC. You can access Memory of the King by using Ashen Mist Heart at his armor in Undead Crypt. Upon being defeated, he does not drop a soul.

you need a weapon with high bleed damage. hit him like 10-15 times and the bleed effect will be high enough that he starts a little bit HP. then he will start fighting.

Taking the Throne pretty clearly means you get to decide what happens with the flame. Nashandra wanted to take the throne and kill the fire.
