Can you put a bed frame around a Sleep Number bed?

Sleep Number mattresses come in all standard industry mattress sizes and will fit into traditional frames and furniture sets. FlexFit adjustable bases can stand-alone or be placed inside of your freestanding bed frame.

Can you put a regular headboard on a Sleep Number bed?

If you have a Sleep Number modular base you can purchase headboard and footboard brackets online. Sleep Number Modular Base Legs are required to attach a headboard or footboard to your modular base.

How do bed frame brackets work?

A bolt-on bracket has drilled holes. A hook-on bracket has specific slots for hooks. The typical bracket lets you maneuver a bolt through the hole to attach it to the headboard. The hole’s diameter determines what size bolt you need for a secure attachment.

Does adjustable base fit inside bed frame?

The answer is yes, and most of the time an adjustable base can fit inside the bed frame on its own legs. Simply remove the slats inside of your bed frame and put the adjustable base inside.

Can you use your own box spring with a Sleep Number bed?

A Sleep Number mattress requires a firm solid surface to provide a comfortable sleeping surface. A traditional box spring won’t work with a Sleep Number mattress.

Can you use a headboard and footboard with a Sleep Number bed?

If you’re using the Modular Base and our Modular Base legs, you’ll need a bracket set to attach the headboard or footboard to your Sleep Number® smart bed. This includes our Value beds.

Can you attach a headboard to an adjustable bed frame?

Yes, headboards for adjustable beds can be fastened to an adjustable bed using headboard brackets. This hardware is either included with the bed or available at an additional cost. It is very important that the proper headboard brackets are used when attaching the headboard.
