OOTD: Feisty in Leopard
As you can tell I’m in an animal print kind of mood, makes me feel a little feisty! Saturday night we were invited out for a birthday dinner in Downtown L.A. and I couldn’t throw this dress on fast enough. The Natural Leopard Surplice Chalice dress (courtesy of Torrid) was a perfect pick for our night out. It’s a great alternative for the normal jeans and top combo. It fit me really well, but as you can tell I did have to put a tank underneath so I didn’t show all the goods. I don’t think the hubby would of … Continue reading
OOTD: Pink Leopard
I’m really not trying to brag…OK maybe just a little, but the weather here in Los Angeles was amazing this weekend! Saturday morning, I had some errands to run, but I didn’t want to just throw on anything. I wanted to wear something fun but comfy. I decided on this Pink Leopard Callie Off-Shoulder Tee by Twist Tees and these Light Blue Rolled Cuff Straight Jeans, both courtesy of Torrid. I love this top! When I saw it, I knew I had to try it. It really is a twist on the popular leopard print. And I felt a little … Continue reading
OOTD: 365Hangers Style-A-Thon
The day of the 365Hangers Style-A-Thon crept up on me. It was like one day they asked me to be a part of it and the next day it was here. I had already planned an outfit out in my head a week in advance, but then I was notified that the weather was going to be kinda cruddy. Yes, we do get cruddy weather here in Los Angeles. So, the outfit I had planned was out the window. Thank goodness Torrid had sent me a few pieces the day before! Phew! I wore this beautiful Teal Chiffon with Embroidered … Continue reading
Trends: The “Hi & Lo” of Things
The “Hi-Lo” or “High-Low” dress is kind of my latest obsession. With it’s high hem in the front and low hem in the back (hence the name), it’s really an eye-catching style. As you can see, they come in all kinds of colors and prints. You may eve find a skirt here or there. This really is a “love em’ or hate’em” kind of dress. So, what do you think? Love it or Hate it? 1. Dorothy Perkins 2. Lane Bryant 3. Forever 21 4. American Rag 5. Torrid 6. Dorothy Perkins 7. Saks Fifth Avenue 8. Nordstrom 9. Fashion … Continue reading
OOTD: A Crocheted Kind of Way
Let me start off by saying that I chose Torrid’s White Crochet Fringe Poncho (on sale now), because it’s not something that I would normally wear. Remember that whole “trying to more adventurous” New Year’s resolution? I thought it was cute and very boho chic. And I thought I’d try it. Even when I put it on I was still unsure. You ladies know how that is right? But, I kept it on and I’m glad I did. It was a nice Spring outfit. I’m not happy with the angle of the photo, it doesn’t show the true length of the … Continue reading
Torrid’s Retro State of Mind
Torrid and I have been friends for a while now and I’ve noticed the trends come and go. One thing I’ve always loved about them is how they’ve always embraced the retro style. And all of the pieces above are perfect examples of that. I’m especially loving the dresses! Brands like Stop Staring and Queen of Heartz make chic pieces! Even the swimsuits are getting in on the action. Do you own any of their retro designs? Are you a retro kind of girl?
OOTD: MAGIC’12 Outfits
Guess who overpacked for MAGIC? I told my hubby it was a good thing I wasn’t flying because I would have been paying for that extra weight. LOL! Have you ever done that? Overpacked, but hated almost everything in your suitcase? That was definitely me. So, what does any girl do when they don’t like their clothes? Go shopping of course. I stopped by the outlets on my way to Las Vegas and bought this beautiful asymmetrical BCBG Max Azria sweater. Thanks for convincing me Ivory! LOL! She’s always right. I wore it on the first day of MAGIC. Later … Continue reading
OOTD: Floral and Feminine
Look mom, I’m wearing a floral print! LOL! I don’t think I’ve worn anything like this in years. Seriously, in a very long time. Watch out people! The minute I saw the Ditsy Chiffon Dress on Torrid.com, I had to try it. This is a fun and feminine dress without showing too much. The sleeves are sheer and the length is perfect for me. It did show a little too much cleavage for my liking, so I added a black camisole underneath. It comes with a skinny patent leather black belt. I paired the dress with Torrid’s Black Opaque Tights. … Continue reading
